1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Jonathan Killough d/b/a Killough Works ("Killough Works," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit https://killough.works (the "Site"), submit an inquiry, communicate with us, or purchase services.

2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- The Killough Works public website
- Intake and contact forms on the Site
- Email and project communications related to Killough Works services
- Payment-related metadata when you pay through Stripe
This policy does not govern third-party websites, platforms, or services you use independently (for example, your own WordPress admin, Facebook page, or Stripe account dashboard). Those services have their own privacy policies.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide directly
When you submit the Site intake form or otherwise contact us, we may collect:

The intake form currently collects: name, email, business name, optional website/social link, selected offer interest, and a free-text project summary.
3.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, certain technical information may be processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers, such as:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type
- Pages visited and approximate visit time
- Referring URL
- Basic server logs and error logs
Analytics: We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar marketing analytics on the Site. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and, where required, provide a cookie notice.
3.3 Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Killough Works does not receive or store your full payment card number. Stripe may provide us with limited payment metadata such as payment status, amount, currency, transaction ID, payer email, and timestamp.
3.4 Client project materials
If you become a client, we may receive additional information needed to perform services, such as platform access details, brand assets, customer form submissions from systems we build, or workflow data. We treat that information as confidential project data and use it only to deliver agreed services unless you direct otherwise.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and intake submissions
- Provide Friction Check, First Fix, Mini Build, and other contracted services
- Communicate about scope, delivery, billing, and support
- Process and confirm payments
- Maintain internal records, invoicing, and tax compliance
- Improve the Site and service quality
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with law and enforce our terms
Legal bases (U.S. framing): We process information based on one or more of the following, depending on context:
- Consent — when you submit a form or opt into communications
- Contract — when processing is necessary to perform services you request
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve our business in ways that do not override your rights
- Legal obligation — when required by law
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with:

6. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site currently uses only technologies necessary to operate the Site and load fonts. We do not intentionally set non-essential advertising cookies at this time.
If we add analytics, session recording, or advertising tools later, we will:

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect Site functionality.
7. Data retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above:

You may request deletion earlier where we are not legally required to retain the data.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS, limited access, and secure handling practices for project materials.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for using secure methods when sharing access to your platforms and for keeping your own credentials confidential.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of certain information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a portable copy of information you provided
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise these rights, email jonathan@killough.works with enough detail for us to verify your request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request, subject to lawful exceptions.
10. Children's privacy
The Site and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. State privacy notice (U.S.)
Killough Works is a small U.S.-based business. We do not sell personal information. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights as described in Section 9.
12. International users
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws.
13. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and payment pages, including Stripe checkout. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before providing information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on the Site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
